Center on Budget and Policy Priorities The Center on Budget and Policy Priorities is one of the nation’s premier policy organizations working at the federal and state levels on fiscal policy and public programs that affect low- and moderate-income families and individuals. The Center conducts research and analysis to inform public debates over proposed budget and tax policies and to help ensure that the needs of low-income families and individuals are considered in these debates. We also develop policy options to alleviate poverty. Council on State Taxation COST is a nonprofit trade association consisting of nearly 600 multistate corporations engaged in interstate and international business. Illinois Issues Institute of Government & Public Affairs UIUC Institute on Taxation and Economic Policy, The The Institute on Taxation and Economic Policy (ITEP) is a non-profit, non-partisan research and education organization that works on government taxation and spending policy issues. Tax Foundation The mission of the Tax Foundation is to educate taxpayers about sound tax policy and the size of the tax burden borne by Americans at all levels of government. The Civic Federation The Civic Federation is a non-partisan government research organization working to maximize the quality and cost-effectiveness of government services in the Chicago region. The Federation’s membership includes business and professional leaders from a wide range of Chicago-area companies and institutions. The Federation maintains a growing archive of publications concerning local tax policies, government services, and public expenditures.
